It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Paul Watkins, 79, of Ormond Beach, FL, formerly of East Hampton, CT. Bob passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2025.
Bob was born in Middletown, CT on 9/9/1946. He was the son to the late Quentin Watkins and Lucy Mazzotta. Bob served in US Army during the Vietnam War from 1964-1967 and then worked as a laborer until his retirement. He was a member of Connecticut Laborers Union.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 21 years, Susan and his children, Eric Watkins, Toni Corriveau (and her husband, Michael), Michelle Carrero (and her husband, CJ), and Ashley Gubtil.
He leaves behind his grandchildren, Triston, Rylee, Chase, Austin and Logan, who were his pride and joy. Bob will be sorely missed by his siblings; sister Marilyn Pitruzzello (late husband, Tom), sister Donna Laskin (and her husband, Joel), and brother, Jim Watkins. He will be fondly remembered by his in-laws, Deb Ewald (and her husband, Kevin), Colleen Roccapriore (and her husband, Dave), Laura Harwood (and her husband, Greg), George Tuttle (and his wife, Kim), and Tracey Brown (and her husband, Clayton). He leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bob enjoyed life to the fullest when riding his Harley with his friends and had a passion for music. He was a kind man with the sweetest smile. His most cherished moments over the last few years were the times spent video chatting with his grandchildren. His passion for life and positive spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Bob's wish was to have a Celebration of Life with family and friends with his favorite music playing. Family will have a Celebration of Life ceremony at a later date in CT.
