Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery, Pollock, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home. Chuck, 68, passed away on June 23, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
The family asks that friends visit on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Gallagher Funeral Home until time of services.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Travis Broski, Shannon Ganey, David Hicks, Sean Morrow, Ethan Rhoades, Jared Rolen, Kyle Sasser, and Kody Sasser. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Baker, Robert Daniel, Chad Jolly, Scott Pippen, and Cannonball Sasser.
Chuck was preceded in death by his mother, Polly W. Gintz; sister, Missy Jolly; father-in-law, Ray DiNicola; infant nephew, Steven Christopher Pippen; brother-in-law, Keith Rolen; and dear family friend, Red Kelly.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 48 years, Angela DiNicola Gintz; son, Robert Cassidy Gintz (Wendy), grandsons, Peyton Gintz and Ashton Gintz; daughter, Amanda Caroline Gintz; granddaughter, Mackenzie Bailey-Redler (Eric); father, Charles Leon Gintz, Sr.; siblings, Debbie Daniel (Robert), Cindy Sasser (Cannonball), Becky Pippen (Scott); brother-in-law, Chad Jolly; a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and dear friends, particularly his "brother from another mother", Paul Baker.
Born on May 28, 1957, in Ruston, Chuck was a proud graduate of Tioga High School, Class of 1975. Following high school, he went on to complete the IBEW Local Union 576 apprenticeship program, dedicating his life to a skilled and honorable trade. He ended his career serving over 22 years in the Engineering Department at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Chuck was the kind of man who lived boldly and loved deeply. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in hunting, fishing, playing sports, and spending time under the open sky. He had a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures-good food, a well-aimed shot, and laughter around the table with family.
Above all, Chuck was a devoted Christian whose life was rooted in faith and service. He was a man's man-tough, steady, and principled-yet tenderhearted with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. His strength, generosity, and love for God left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Chuck's legacy lives on in the lives he touched through his friendship, mentorship, and the example he set in both work and faith. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
