Mr. Hamilton was born in Milledgeville, Georgia on November 11, 1942, to the late James Willie Hamilton, Leola Brookins Hamilton. He worked in the Textile Industry with J.P. Stevens, Concord, Meadows Barnette and Mohawk. After his first retirement he worked for Lowe's for many years until his second retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Anne Moorman Hamilton, two sisters Ann and Thelma and a brother Melvin Hamilton. He was a longtime member of Devereux Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff Hamilton (Michelle) and Chris Hamilton (Victoria) both of Milledgeville; a sister Kathy Warren of Augusta; grandchildren Casey, Kaila (Charles), Mali, Emily, Ryelee, Autumn, and one great-grandchild Ezelyn.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Dementia Society of America, P.O. Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
Moores Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
