Mrs. Edmonds was born in Wilkinson County, Georgia on November 19, 1940, to the late Jackson Chatfield Jones and Lila Mae Ethridge Jones. She worked for over 32 years as an LPN at Central State Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Morris Edmonds, two brothers, James C. Jones and Danny Jones, two sisters Guynell Whidby and Sara Gilman Ross.
Survivors include her son Charles Bernard "Bo" Edmonds, Jr. and his wife Claire and her daughter Sheila Dare Sweat and her husband Denny all of Milledgeville, a brother Edward L. Jones of Milledgeville, 6 grandchildren, Austin Edmonds and Ansley Edmonds of Milledgeville, Joshua Brown of VA, Derek Brown of Milledgeville, Robert Sweat (Rachel) of Ft. Valley and Kevin
Sweat of Milledgeville, 2 great grandchildren Olivia and Aiden Brown of Athens.
