Windsor – Charles "Randy" Harmon passed away on August 17, 2025 at the age of 55 in his home surrounded by family.

Randy was born in Franklin on October 14, 1969 and raised in Windsor, and was a son of the late Charles and Rachel Harmon. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Harmon, and a sister Charlene Paul (Randy).

He is survived by a son, Andy Harmon (Julie); a brother, Carl Harmon (Hilda); nieces, Carrie McCullen (Taylor) and Kimberly Herr (Natty); and a nephew, Trey Paul. Randy was a loving son, grandson, father, and friend to many.

Randy graduated from Windsor High School in 1987 and remained in contact with friends over the years. His love for farming ran deep within him. After many years of farming, he continued to remain in the farming community by working at Prescription Fertilizer and was well-known in the farming family. Anyone who knew Randy knew his pride and love for his son, Andy, who continues to farm today.

He was a member of the Windsor Volunteer Fire Department for over 30 years. He acquired many recognitions over his years of service. Randy loved to share stories and reminisce about the "old times" with family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM Thursday, August 21, 2025 in Wright Funeral Home, 206 West 4th Avenue, Franklin, VA. Burial will follow at Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Sentara Hospice nurses, Julie Jones and Lisa Arrington, and all of our friends that spent countless time with our family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Windsor Vol. Fire Department.
