Charles N. Hayes

Charles (Chuck) N. Hayes, age 69, of Tinley Park, IL and York, PA, passed away on January 30, 2022 at ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation – Kingston Court. He was the loving husband of Ann L. (Engelhardt) Hayes; together they shared over 42 years of marriage.
Chuck was born in Harvey, IL on October 7, 1952 and was the son of the late Ralph S. and Norma J. (Boyd) Hayes. He enjoyed Civil War history, followed the NFL, especially the Bears and Browns, woodworking, piano, and landscaping. Chuck worked his way from Assistant Manager, to Manager, to ultimately franchise owner with Hardee's Food Systems, Inc. Chuck was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Spring Grove.
In addition to his loving wife Ann, Chuck is survived by his son Peter Hayes; and his daughter Kathryn Hayes. He is also survived by his brothers Roger Hayes, Richard Hayes, and Robert Hayes; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Louis Hayes; and his brother Ronald Hayes.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Chuck's life will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 2:00PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 201 S. Main St., Spring Grove. Interment will be held at Forrest Lawn Memorial Park, Youngstown, OH. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 1:00PM-2:00PM at the church. The funeral services are held under the direction of Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of Spring Grove.
