Audrey R. Slagel

Audrey R. (Myers) Slagel, age 94, passed away on November 6, 2025 at SpiriTrust Lutheran with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Philip C. Slagel who passed away on July 29, 2025 and the late St. Lawrence Holtzapple, Jr. who passed on October 15, 1955.
Audrey was born in York, PA on May 24, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Lloyd L. and Helen R. (Meckley) Myers. She graduated from West York High School Class of 1948, went on to work in sales for Avon Cosmetics, and lastly retired from People's Bank in 1995. Audrey enjoyed working in her flowers garden, baking, and watching NASCAR Racing. She was a member of the Golden Girls at Broad Top Church of God, the Woman's Auxiliary with the American Legion #126, the SpiriTrust Lutheran Foundation Auxiliary, and the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Stoverstown.
Audrey is survived by her children Lawrence Slagel and wife MaryBeth, Michael Slagel and wife Sharon, and Cynthia Slagel Beck and husband Dennis; her daughter in law Brenda Slagel; her grandchildren Angela, Adam, Matthew, Tricia, Amy, and Megan; and her great grandchildren Lucas, Easton, Eisley, Addison, Kelsea, and Nyla. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Jeff Slagel and wife Lucinda; and her sister-in-law Adrienne Myers. She was preceded in death by her son Craig Slagel; her sister Arlene Eisenhart; her brother-in-law Marlyn Holtzapple; and her sister-in-law Shirley Stine.
A funeral service in celebration of Audrey's life will be held on Wednesday November 12, 2025 at 1:00PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4767 Lehman Rd. Spring Grove PA 17362, with Rev. Alan Watt officiating. The internment will immediately follow at St. Paul Union Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 11:00-1:00PM at the church.
