Charles Hayden Hill

AHOSKIE, NC – Mr. Charles Hayden Hill, a loving son, brother, and friend, passed away on January 20, 2024, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina. Born on January 23, 1955, in Ahoskie, North Carolina, Charles was 68 years old at the time of his death.
Throughout his life, Charles enjoyed his time helping at Savin & Hill Co. Charles had a passion for sports, particularly supporting his beloved UNC Tarheels. He found solace in fishing and took delight in capturing the beauty of birds through his photography.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Martin Hill Jr. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his mother, Maxine Croom Hill, as well as his stepmother, Carolyn Hill of Ahoskie. Charles leaves behind a cherished legacy, forever etched in the hearts of his three brothers: Martin Hill (Sharon Jernigan) of Colerain, Steven "Tee" Hill (Edna) of Ahoskie, and Ashley Hill (Kathy) of Ahoskie. He was also dearly loved by his paternal grandparents, Frederick and Gladys Martin Hill Sr., and maternal grandparents, Hayden and Myrtle Croom; and his numerous nieces, great nieces, and great nephews, who will always carry his memory close.
A celebration of Charles's life will take place during a graveside service on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 2:00 pm, held at the Highland Memorial Gardens in Ahoskie, NC. The family will receive friends at the home of Tee and Edna at any time.
