Charles Samuel Hinton, 86, of Wooster, died August 28, 2024, at his residence.
Charles was born January 18, 1938, in Waterford, Ohio to Clyde and Ethel {Lincicome} Hinton.
Charles worked at Akron Brass for over 40 years retiring in 2001.
He married Shirley L. Sowers on November 6, 1959, She died in 1996.
Charles was involved in the Wayne County Archery Club, the National Rifle Association and was a lifelong member of the North American Hunting Club. He also was a member of the Creston Community Church.
Charles will be deeply missed by children Sandra (Jeffrey) Seeden, Kenny Hinton, Christopher (Joanna) Hinton; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchildren; brothers Wilbur Hinton of Wauseon; sister Connie Highman of Ravenna.
Charles was preceded in death by his first wife Shirley Hinton; his second wife Sharon Beck Hinton, Clyde Hinton, Carlos Hinton.
Friends may call Saturday September 7, 2024 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Creston Community Church 111 Sterling Avenue, Creston, Ohio 44217. Services will be follow with Pastor Josh Chaffin officiating. The funeral service will be livestreamed at https://www.facebook.com/CrestonCC. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
