Charles Hirt

Charles F. Hirt, age 85, a resident of Rowley, formerly of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully at Avita of Newburyport on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Ann (Cole) Hirt with whom he enjoyed 51 years of marriage until her passing in 2014.
He was born in Hornell, New York on January 21, 1940, and was the son of the late Raymond and Esther (Wahl) Hirt.
Charles is survived by his daughter Teresa Quinno and her husband James of Rowley; and his three sons Joseph Hirt and his wife Andrea of Vancouver, WA, Timothy Hirt and his wife Sharon of Dracut, and Ryan Hirt and his wife Amanda of Melrose; eleven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren, his sister Rose Marie Hirt of Rowley, formally of Hornell, NY and his brother the late Joseph Hirt of PA.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 9 am to 10 am at the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated following the visitation at 11am at St Mary Parish, 25 North Road, Chelmsford. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
