Dr. Charles Hollar Obituary Dr. Charles Allan Hollar, Warsaw, Indiana went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 2, 2025, at the age of 84. He leaves cherished memories with his family, friends, and community of his kindness, wisdom and humor.
Charles was born on June 9, 1940, in Hastings, Indiana to Floyd and Dorothy (Dumph) Hollar. On August 26, 1962, he married his beloved Jaqueline (Johnson) Hollar and was blessed with 55 years of marriage before her passing in 2018. They had two children, Danica and Steven.
He graduated from Warsaw High School (1958), attended Manchester College and gained early acceptance into and graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry (1964). His dental legacy is realized by three generations of dentists. His son, Dr. Steven Hollar and two grandsons, Dr. Bennett Hollar and Dr. Jonathan Hollar all practice in the office he founded 60 years ago, Hollar Dental Group.
With a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face, Charles enjoyed getting to know every person he met and loved helping his patients and cherished his dental team. He enjoyed sports, travel and time with his family. His family will treasure the memories of their adventures with "Popo and Gagi" and how he spent countless hours sitting in bleachers and walking golf courses encouraging and cheering on his children and grandchildren.
As a lifelong resident of Warsaw, Charles attended Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church and was a past president and 57 year member of the Warsaw Morning Optimist Club. He was also a member of the Mitzpah Shrine of Fort Wayne, Kosciusko County Shrine Club and Mini-Bike Patrol, and a Master Mason of Warsaw Lodge #73. Charles was a life member of the American Dental Association, trustee for the Indiana Dental Association, past president of the North Central Dental Society and Kosciusko Dental Societies. He was also a fellow in the International College of Dentists and served on the Kosciusko County Board of Health.
