Adventures to the Caribbean, Las Vegas, and Alaska provided cherished memories. He will be truly remembered for his dry sense of humor and his "Hooperism's" and his memorable handlebar mustache.A loyal fan of the Cleveland Indians Baseball team, Charles enjoyed spending time following the games, celebrating the highs, and enduring the lows of each season.Charles is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Brenda (nee Claus); his children, Michelle Hooper of Amherst, and Jeffrey (Rebekah) Hooper of Smyrna, TN; and grandchildren, Henry, Cade, and Danni Hooper. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Charles, Selma Louise, and Doris Hooper, but his legacy of love and dedication endures in the lives he touched.Family and friends are invited to join in honoring Charles's life on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, located at 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. My father, Bill Hinton, and Charles' father, Leslie, were distantly related cousins. I still remember the fun Charlie and I had when our families got together. God's peace to all of his family and friends.
