He was born February 25, 1960, in New Martinsville, WV, a son of Edgar Harold Howell and the late Margaret Belle Vandruff Howell.
He was a mechanic at Neff's Repair Shop, where he liked working on car engines.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Michelle Howell; a daughter, Emily Howell Knisley; and infant brother, Robert Howell.
In addition to his father, Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Shawnee Morris Howell; two sons, Christopher (Cali) Howell of New Martinsville, WV and Joseph Howell of California; two daughters, Jessica (Lawrence) Frenes and Hannah Howell, both of California; four brothers, Mike (Sandy) Howell of Friendly, WV, Mark (Millie) Howell and Steve (Lissie) Howell, both of New Martinsville, and Doug (Janine) Howell of California; 16 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including Brian Howell of Sistersville, WV.
Family will receive friends on Friday October 10, 2025 from 2pm- 4pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 3rd Street, New Martinsville, WV.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
