He also loved coaching basketball and baseball and is a hall of fame member of the Howard County Youth Program in recognition of over 30 years of coaching and serving as commissioner.
He treasured his faith and time spent with family and friends, boating, traveling, and spending time at the beach, especially his trips to Aruba. Charlie loved animals of all sizes, especially his German Shepherds, and volunteered for many years at a local horse rescue.

(Miller) Ippolito, sons Charles Joseph Ippolito III of Greentown, PA and Joseph Thomas Ippolito of Columbia, MD, and daughters Stacy Marie Ippolito Long of Marriottsville, MD and Ashley Lauren Hill of Laurel, DE.
