Charles R. Isaly passed away on January 28, 2023, at his home in Sardis, Ohio, surrounded by his family, who loved him dearly.
He was born on March 23, 1938, in Clarington, Ohio, the son of the late Lloyd and Florence (Bigler) Isaly.
Charles was a 1956 graduate of River High School and a member of the River Alumni Association.
He retired from Ormet Corporation.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Isaly, Earl Isaly, and Harry Isaly; and his sisters, Eula Darrah and Mary Lou Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Judith (Fuchs) Isaly; three daughters, Jackie Isaly of Mooresville, North Carolina; Jill (Sam) Schumacher of Woodsfield, Ohio; and Jana (Jay) Tingle of West Layfette, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Tyler (Tiffany) Schumacher, Chrissy (Ryan) Ferguson, Amanda (Collin) Seevers, Stacey Schumacher, Caleb (Jasmine) Tingle, Audrey (Eric Meininger), and Gabe Tingle; ten great-grandchildren, Raylin, Lucas and Madeline Schumacher; Cooper, Charlie, and Callie Ferguson; Beau Schumacher; Lincoln and Lofton Tingle; and CC Seevers.
Charles also is survived a very dear brother, Ronnie (Maxine) Isaly of Hannibal and two sisters-in-law, Janet Isaly, Sardis, Ohio and Betty Isaly, Bloomingdale, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation or service. Upon cremation, inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
We would like to thank Ohio's Hospice for their continuous care during Charles' final days. Any memorial donations may be made to the River High School Alumni Association.
