A Celebration of Life
Charles Stevenson “Steve” Jeffords
8-17-51
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Friday June 6, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Kevin Walters will officiate. A visitation will be held following the service.
Steve went to his heavenly home on June 2, 2025. He was a wonderful example to his wife Hibby’s children- William Darrin Gray (Joy), Kendall Gray Ward (Kevin) and Mary Will Gray. He loved being Pap to grandchildren Zane Linton, Cameron Ward, Carson Ward and his “Pee-Wee” Kaia Johnson.
There were so many wonderful friends that assisted Steve throughout the years with Dr.s appointments and in his beloved shop.
Steve attended the Citadel and Florence Darlington Tech after graduating from Hartsville High School. He later graduated from Coker College.
He was married to Hildreth Rowell Gray (Hibby) for 30 years. They had many amazing years of fun antique shopping, O’Reily’s for car parts/conversation and watching NASCAR. Let’s not forget that they loved to go shagging back in the day! His jokes and non hurried good nature will be missed by so many.
Steve was pre deceased by parents Charles Jeffords, Willie Marshall Jeffords and son Jamie Jeffords.
Psalm 23
