Charles Wray Jenkins, Jr.

September 19, 1949 - May 17, 2025

Charles Wray Jenkins, Jr, 75, of Gibsonville, NC, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 17, 2025, surrounded by his family. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Lakeview Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensboro.

Charles was born in Guilford County, on September 19, 1949, to the late Charles (Charlie) Wray Jenkins, Sr and Louise Reese Jenkins Moore. He was a lifelong resident of Guilford County and worked for Andersen Distributing Company and finally retiring from the N.C. Dept. of Transportation as a heavy equipment operator. Charles loved horses and was an accomplished horse rider as well as a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Diane Boone; and his stepfather, Robert Ernest Moore, who was affectionately called "Pa".

He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Kronenberg (Chris) and Rachel Rohrbach (Jason); his sisters, Jane Cockman (Larry) and Emily Crawford (James Ingold); and several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Jenkins will lie in repose from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at Forbis & Dick North Elm Street Funeral Home, on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, for friends and family to pay their final respects. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: AuthoraCare, 2504 Summit Ave. Greensboro, NC 27405.
