Charles "Chuck" Jennings was born August 7,1938 in Yazoo City, Mississippi, the 7th child of a sharecropper family and passed away April19, 2025.
He was a singer, songwriter and comedian. Chuck delighted in bringing laughter to the people's faces. He had a quick wit about him and could make people laugh at any little saying or incident. After retirement, he joined a group called Southern Pride and played at Senior Citizen Centers. He always said "I want to give back" to the people that helped my career along the way. He always had a smile on his face.
He leaves behind his wife of 66 years, Pat; four children, Sandra, Chuck, Jr. (Kelly), Kyle and Stephen Jennings; grandchildren, Jason, Nicole (Nathan), Kristy, Rowdy, Trey, Spencer (Bri) and Tyler; great-grandchildren Briana (Jon), Jacob, Emily and Grayson; great-great grandchildren, Achilles, Selah and JJ, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, as well as many good friends and decades of dedicated fans.
Chuck Jennings lived a large life, a life in which he brought joy to others which accounts for his success in entertainment. He will be sorely missed by everyone who has had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
