Charles Joseph Kahn

HUDSON - Charlie Kahn (83), of Hudson Ohio, passed peacefully in his sleep on February 2, 2022, after living many years with renal disease.
Charlie is survived by his long-time partner Gale Poor, sister Catherine Wilber, four children (David, William, Marjorie & Jessica) and five grandchildren (Ryan, Alex, Madison, Margaret & Rory).
Charlie graduated with distinction from Shaker Heights High School and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He spent a distinguished five-decade career as a corporate finance executive for firms including American Express, Thomas Cook, Drug Emporium, Things Remembered and Chemical Solvents.
After retiring in 2014, Charlie and Gale have been active members of the community at Laurel Lake Retirement Village. He had a sharp mind for strategy and games, especially bridge and crosswords. He enthusiastically followed Cleveland sports and loved a good cocktail hour. Above all, he relished in boisterous gatherings with his children and grandchildren. He will be sorely missed.
