Charles "Chuck" W. Knokey, Jr., 79, of York, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025, at WellSpan York Hospital.

Born in York on February 13, 1946, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Eathel (Boyce) Knokey.

A graduate of Red Lion High School, Chuck was a skilled and dedicated machine repairman. He spent much of his career at Drawbaugh's Office Machine and later at McCrory's Distribution Center, where he worked until its closing.

Chuck had a lifelong passion for the outdoors. He especially cherished the time spent hunting and fishing with his son and daughter.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Betty M. (Saylor) Knokey; his daughter, Michelle Brodbeck; and his grandchildren: Kevin Eichelberger, Ibtissam Eichelberger, Megan Eichelberger, Michael Knokey, Jr., and Brandon Knokey. Chuck was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, who brought him great joy in his later years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Knokey and brother, Edsel Knokey.

A private service will be held by the family at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the care of the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., Dallastown.
