Charles D. Knott Sr., age 55 of Braidwood, IL passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the City of Hope Cancer Center in Zion.
He was born on January 6, 1969 in Joliet, IL to Charles L. Jr and Martha (nee Logsdon) Knott. He grew up in Braidwood, graduating with Reed Custer High School Class of 1987. He married Debra A. Odom in Grundy County on September 3, 1994 and together they raised two children. Charles worked as a superintendent out of the Laborer's Local 75. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying his recreational time fishing and camping. He had a talent for working on cars. Most of all, Charles was a hard worker who took pride in taking care of his family. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed their time together. He was also a good friend and was there to help whenever he was needed.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Debbie Knott; his children, Charles D. Jr. (Carly) Knott of Coal City and Samantha (Tyler Daly) Knott of Braidwood and his three grandchildren, Clayton, Bentley and Harper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Martha Knott and his brother, Everett D. Knott.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 2:30 pm on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Ferrari Funeral Services, 1044 Ferrari Drive, Coal City, IL 60416. Terry Bryant will officiate.
Cremation rites will be accorded following services.
