"Kenny"

Born April 13, 1940, in Grassy Butte, ND, son of the late Joe and the late Lena (nee Taber) Kowis.

Passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the age of 85. Loving husband of Jeanne (nee Schmidt) for 65 years. Cherished dad of Dennis Kowis, Leonard (Christine) Kowis and Shelley (Robb) Rivera. Tender grandpa of Kimberly, Kenneth (Marissa) and Andrew Rivera. Great Grandpa of precious Charlotte. Brother of Donna Grevious, Delores Bice and Wally Kowis. Preceded in death by his sisters; Mary Ellen Sabrosky, Caroline Dartis, Annabelle Kukla, Kathryn Trotter, Margerie Hanson, and his brothers; Stanley Kowis and Bobby Kowis.

Kenny went into the Army in 1958 and in 1960 he married Jeanne. Once out of the service, they moved to Milwaukee and Kenny worked at Briggs and Stratton for 30 years. He retired and then worked part-time maintenance at apartment buildings for 20 years. He liked to fish, hunt, family camping, traveling and playing guitar.

Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin, on Monday, August 18, 2025, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

Additional Visitation will be held at Corpus Christi Parish-St. Mary Church, 225 South Hartwell Avenue, Waukesha, Wisconsin, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM.

Entombment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, S22 W22890 East Broadway, Waukesha, Wisconsin.
