Charles "Charlie" Lenwood Lecroy, 90, of Albertville, Alabama went home to be with the lord on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Marshall Manor.
Charlie was a devoted husband, grand-father, and great grand-father. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Charlie was born and raised in Guntersville where he worked as a mechanic and truck driver for Bill Bright Motors for 25 years, after which he farmed until the time he retired. He loved horses and dogs, Bluegrass music, and spending time with his family.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Flora Lee Lecroy, his brother Melton Lecroy, his sister Jean Shelton, and his son Len Lecroy.
He is survived by Margie Nell Lynch Lecroy, his loving wife of more than 70 years, son Michael (Andrea) Lecroy, daughter Lisa (Scott) Drew, granddaughters Krissie (Chance) Rainwater, and great-grandchildren Lexie Rainwater and Hannah Sturdevant.
His family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Marshall Manor for the care and compassion shown Charlie and our family.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 12:00-2:00 PM at Guntersville Memorial Chapel. Service to follow at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
