Charles Lillis Obituary

Charlie spent most of his life in a New York State of mind. He was born there, grew up in Inwood, was a Fordham Ram for life and held various positions in media companies in New York City such as CBS, Thompson, and Reed Elsevier.
He leaves behind quite a legacy - a loving wife, five cherished children, two sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law, eleven beloved grandchildren, one grandson-in-law, and a timeless mother-in-law.
Friends and loved ones are invited to share their memories of Charlie with his family during visitation at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home at 257 Godwin Avenue in Wyckoff, New Jersey on Wednesday, July 26th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN. 38148-0142, Charlie's favorite charity, would be most appreciated.
Charlie was well loved and will be sorely missed by those blessed to know and love him. Every once in a while, there comes along a special someone who can light up a room just by entering it.
