Charles Henry Lively, age 85, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. As he departed this life, he fulfilled his heartfelt wish to be reunited with the love of his life, Lola Louise Lively, at the gates of heaven. After 65 years of marriage, Charles could not imagine life without her and longed to be by her side once more.
Born on November 17, 1939, in Oak Creek, Colorado, Charles was the son of George and Ann Lively. On December 6, 1959, he married Lola Louise Taft, and together they built a life grounded in love, dedication, and family. Their marriage was a true testament to enduring love. They raised two children: son, Randy Lively, married to daughter-in-law, Cindy Lively, and daughter Connie Keplinger.
A proud United States Marine, Charles served his country with honor until his discharge in 1965. His dedication to service and country was a lifelong source of pride.
Charles was a devoted grandfather to Andrea Nicole Quinnie, Bryan Lively, and Hope Keplinger. He is now joyfully reunited with his grandchildren, Tasha Lively, Charles Allen Lively, and Shanna Keplinger, who preceded him in death. He was also blessed by great-grandchildren, Ryan, Tasha, Corbin, CJ, and Ronald.
He is also survived by his beloved siblings: Edward Lively, Opal Long, George Lively, Louis Lively, and Grace Howe.
Charles found joy in cooking, fishing, hunting, and, in his later years, painting. But above all, he treasured his time with family and friends, and his presence brought warmth, humor, and strength to every gathering.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 on the morning of August 15, 2025, at Delta Cemetery, 1055 East 3rd St, Delta, CO.
Semper Fi, Charles. Your memory will forever be a blessing.
