Charles J. Locker, age 80, of Paint Lick, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
Charles was born in Garrard County, Kentucky to the late Chester "Jack" and Hazel Sebastian Locker. He was a longtime member of White Lick Baptist Church, where he served many different roles over the years. He was a longtime building contractor and had a true love of building and designing houses and churches. His last project was restoring the new Union City Christian Church which he had a true passion for. He was a member of the Home Builder's Association, Park Board Committee in Garrard County, Gideons International, and the Cartersville Ruritan Club, where he loved to fry the hushpuppies for the fish fry. In addition to all his other activities, he also loved riding horses and was a founding member of the Trail Pleasure Saddle Club.
He is survived by his loving wife, Eunice Day Locker; his children, Keith (Pam) Locker, and Patti Locker Jennings; one brother, Robert (Dewey) Locker; two granddaughters, Olivia (Matt) Day, and Megan Locker; seven great grandchildren, Landon, Lynzie, Layton, Kevin, Cayden, Audrey, and Marley.
Funeral services will be 2pm, Saturday, March 18, 2023, at White Lick Baptist Church with Rev. Dave Stewart, and Rev. Kenny Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5pm to 8pm at the church. Condolences may be left for the family at www.lakesfuneralhome.com
Services will be livestreamed at www.lakesfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heritage Hospice, Gideons International, or White Lick Baptist Church Building Fund.
