Mr Marlowe was my teacher at Benton for 3 years. I still remember some of the history he taught us. I hope he´s driving fast in his beloved black Mustang! Thank you for all your years of service.

Mr. Marlowe was my social studies teacher at Benton Elementary, he was a good teacher. Like someone else said the overhead projector where we has to copy our notes from, sure was a lot of them. I have ran into him numerous times at thrift stores in Athens. He drove that black mustang for years.

Mr. Marlowe had such a love of history. I was mezmorized that he could recite the Odyssey and the Iliad by heart. I learned the proper way of taking notes in his class. He would tell us when to underline, highlight, skip a line, etc. Oddly enough of all the notebooks I have treasured, I still have my 3 ring binder from his class. May you rest in peace Mr. Marlowe. Thank you for guiding us into loving history. You started my love in mythology.

Mr Marlowe was my social studies 6-8 grade at Benton Elementary. Each time I visit one of the far away places we studied I think of him. Countless notes from his overhead projector and hours of reel to reel film! What a legacy he leaves.
