In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Bud Mason, James Mason, and Wayne Mason, and his sisters, Annie Mae Mason and Diane Mason.
Charles is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ann Thompson Mason; his children, Janice Cobb (Willie), Janet Fredrick (Gene), Kathy Diaz, and Chris Mason (Stacy); his grandchildren, Jason Clark, Brandon McQueen, Lee Mason, Michael Wilder, Kiena McBride, and Mark Diaz; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held officiated by Rev. Willie Cobb.
