Every time I cut his hair, I say, "Charles, you look nice." He replies, "I know," His reaction makes me laugh..

During my time with Charles I grew to learn that Charles was a man of habit and a true foodie. Whether it was giving him his comfort snacks or making him special treats while he listened to his tunes. Those little things were small acts of service that made him so happy . You will truly be missed old buddy .

It's hard for me to write your name in the past tense, Charles, but know that you will remain in my thoughts and prayers.

My first memory of Charles was meeting him for the first time at NSH. I introduced myself and said Hi Charles, and had the audacity to say my name and walk away at which point Charles grabbed my hand and gripped it so hard, I couldn't have walked away if I tried! I also didn't expect SO MUCH STRENGTH from him! I didn't know his rituals at that point and I was leaving before his name ritual was satisfied...I NEVER made that mistake again! But I was also blessed because every time I saw Charles after that, he always held my hand while we were talking (unless he was eating...he didn't have time for my hand during meals!). I will miss Charles greatly.

Every time I listen to certain songs like Welcome Back and Sister Golden Hair I remember Charles because they were his favorite songs.
