Charles Blake Moore, known as Blake, left this world on Sunday, June 29, 2025, in Zanesville, Ohio, where he had also begun his journey in life on February 27, 1968.

Blake was a true lover of life, whose vibrancy and passion were evident to all who were lucky enough to know him. His laughter, warm and inviting, had the unique ability to light up any room, and his big heart made him a friend to many. A profound fan of rock and roll, particularly the sounds of the 80s and 90s, he often could be found reminiscing about the iconic anthems that shaped his youth. Music was not merely a pastime for Blake; it was the soundtrack of his life, underscoring his journey with joy and nostalgia.

For over twenty years, he dedicated himself to the road as a truck driver. The open highway was both his workplace and his playground. Blake’s stories from the road—filled with adventure, camaraderie, and the occasional challenge—spoke to his resilience and his unwavering spirit. Before embracing the freedom of the open road, he contributed to the legacy of the former Robinson-Ransbottom Pottery, leaving his mark on a local institution that shaped the community.

Though Blake was known for his kind-hearted nature and his desire to help others, this same generosity sometimes left him vulnerable to those who would take advantage of his goodwill. In a world full of complexities, his gentle spirit remained untainted, reminding us all of the importance of compassion and understanding.

Surviving Blake in life are his children, Abbigail Moore and Jake Moore; his mother, Shirley (Spring) Holshuer; his siblings, Scott Moore and James Clark and his half siblings, Bobby Holshuer, Roxanne "Sissy" Holshuer and Wayne Holshuer.

Blake is preceded in death by his father, Charles Moore; his stepfather, Ron Holshuer, his maternal grandparents, John Milner Spring and Mary Faye Spring; his aunts and uncles; Sandy Spring, Marilyn Spring and Pete Spring.

Friends and family are welcome to pay their final respects from 5-7:00 PM, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville.

Following services, Blake will be cremated and returned to his family.

As we bid farewell to Blake, we are reminded of the profound impact he had on so many lives. His love for music, his warm smile, and his adventurous spirit will be cherished forever. Blake’s legacy lives on in the stories shared by his friends and the melodies that continue to echo in our hearts. Though he may have left us, the joy he brought into our lives will never fade.
