Stephanie N. (Nutter) Chapman, aged 43, passed away unexpectedly on September 28, 2025, at Genesis Health Care System in Zanesville, the same community where her journey began on August 11, 1982, at Good Samaritan Medical Center born to Julie (Hammond) Nutter and the late David Nutter. Known for her infectious smile and free-spirited nature, Stephanie leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to her family and friends. Stephanie, a 2001 graduate of New Lexington High School, was a woman whose heart was as expansive as her smile. Her career was a reflection of her giving spirit, having worked as an MST at Good Samaritan Hospital and, most recently, as a Certified Medical Assistant at Nina's Home Health. Her professional life was a testament to her compassion, as she provided care and comfort to those in need, touching countless lives with her kindness and empathy. Stephanie's life was rich with love and joy, thanks in no small part to her beloved husband, Adam Chapman. Together, they shared a love that was deep and abiding, often celebrated through their tradition of wearing matching outfits for festive holidays. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Ozzelyn (Kyle) Bates, a stepmother to Jeffery (Alyssa) Patrick, David, and Daniel Chapman and grandmother to grandchildren, Rebel and Salem Marini, and Jackson and Amelia Patrick

. The family tree from which Stephanie blossomed includes her adoring parents, brother Joshua Nutter, special aunt who was like a second Mother Margie Hammond; Her in-laws, David Chapman, Deb and Craig Papageorge, Jen (Ron) Booher, Jason (Heather) Chapman, and her mother-in-law, Anita Chapman. Stephanie's life was further enriched by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who will forever cherish the memories created with her. Stephanie's interests were as vibrant and varied as her personality. She was an avid mushroom hunter, delighting in the thrill of the hunt and the beauty of nature. Her love for Halloween was unmatched; she reveled in carving pumpkins, crafting original costumes, and was the life of every party. Stephanie's presence was a gift to those around her, and her beautiful smile could indeed light up a room. She was preceded in death by her father, David Nutter, her grandparents, Joseph (Julia) Hammond and Rolland (Alberta) Nutter, grandchild Alice Patrick and father-in-law, John Chapman. Calling hours will be held Thursday October 2, 2025, from 4pm-7pm at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville. A mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, October 3, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 309 N. Main Street, New Lexington with Father Emannuel Adu Addi as celebrant.
