William J. Rondholz, known affectionately as "Bill or Billy" to his friends and family, embarked on his final adventure on August 8, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on November 25, 1947, in Jersey City, New Jersey, he was a son of the late William J. and Catherine (Meyers) Rondholz, Bill lived a life that could fill a notebook with stories, laughter, and a dash of that unmistakable Jersey flair. Bill's early days in Jersey City set the stage for a man who would become as iconic as the sports jacket and colored tee combo he so loved. His journey took him to Crooksville, Ohio, where he would eventually hang up his hat and calculator after years of crunching numbers at Qundrill as an accountant. Retirement didn't mean slowing down for Bill; it just meant he had more time to perfect some of his favorite dishes and concentrate on a winning strategy when it came to Canasta. A devoted family man, Bill is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia "Cindy" (Newton) Rondholz, who was both his partner in life and best friend; with his legacy continuing through his children, Billy and Bobby Rondholz, Curt (Anna) Burns, Heidi (Jerrod) Jordan and Morgan (Courtney) Burns; Bill's love extended to his siblings, Michael (Gail) Rondholz, Patricia (Dennis) Stinziano, Robyn (Tony) Calaberse, Catherine Aiello, and Susan (Curt) Chave,; grandchildren, Cody (Alyssa) Burns, Izeke (Emilee) Burns, Keyli (TJ) Swingle, Amber Jordan, Paige, Parker, Payton Burns, Mercadees Wyon, Skye and John Herrmann; great grandchildren Luke, Andrew, Mya, Mollee, Hayden, Elliott, Scarlet, LJ, Nora and Jackson, with whom he shared countless cherished moments as well as a special friend, Mike Bulley along with a host of friends and extended family too numerous to mention. Bill's unique style was unmistakable. He carried a piece of his Jersey roots with him always, speaking in his deep east coast accent, which came alive when cheering for "Bruuuuce" Springsteen, whose music he would play after he would commandeer the jukebox to play at his favorite local watering holes, or the Roseville American Legion where he was a member of the Sons. A man of many passions, Bill was the devoted chef of the household, always eager to cook and prepare meals for his family and friends. His culinary talents were only matched by his love of a good wine or the card game Canasta, which he enjoyed playing during gatherings, filling the room with laughter and camaraderie. His home was a haven for all those who appreciated a good meal and even better company. In honoring Bill's wishes, no services will be observed, and a dignified cremation will take place under the direction of Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville
