Charles R.
Mostoller, 82 of Bellefonte, passed away Friday, November 8, 2024, at Mount
Nittany Medical Center, State College, PA. Born May
3, 1942, in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Charles R. and Beatrice
R. (Blough) Mostoller.
Charles
was graduate of Boswell High School. He
attended The University of Pittsburgh and graduated with a bachelor's degree in
chemical engineering. He was employed as
a Chemical Engineer for Merck in Danville, PA, Aramco in Dhahran, Saudia Arabia
and the Netherlands. Charles, upon his
return to the United States continued as a Chemical Engineer for Rhodia in New
Jersey retiring after 44 years.
Charles
was a member of the Bellefonte Elks Lodge #1094 and the Chemical Engineering
Society. He was an avid Fly Fisherman.
Surviving
is his wife of 64 years, Janet (Emert) Mostoller of Bellefonte; two daughters:
Robin L. Niosi and her husband Mark of Huntingtown, MD; Rebecca L. Hendrickx
and her husband Keith of Stafford VA; one son: Scott A. Mostoller and his wife
Holly of St. John's, FL; four grandchildren: Ross Niosi, Kirsten Bassett and
her husband Michael, Jared Niosi and Lauren Hendrickx; one great granddaughter:
Gracilyn Niosi; also sister-in-law: Beverly Mostoller of Somerset, PA and
brother-in-law: Barry B. Emert of Ebensburg, PA.
Charles
was preceded in death by his parents and brother: John William Mostoller.
Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the Haky/Georgiana Centre County Funeral
Home, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801. Arrangements are private and at the
convenience of the family.
