Charles Albert Munoz, 59, of
Ventura, California, passed away on August 14, 2025, in Los Angeles, California.
Charles was born in Oxnard, California, on January 29, 1966, to Carlos Mendez Munoz and Lorraine Munoz.
He worked as a Commercial Equipment Technician for SmartCare Solutions, where he thrived in his skill and gave great work ethic and devotion to his job.
Charles' greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially at the softball field. He loved watching his granddaughters play every single game, no matter the time or place. He was always behind home plate cheering "Hit that ball!" the loudest and the proudest. More than half of Charlies life was spent coaching his girl's youth softball teams all the way from T-ball through college. If he was not coaching, he was right up against the fence being their #1 fan. The pride he felt in watching his daughters and grandchildren hit the dirt and play ball could never be matched. He also loved watching his Grandson play Miracle League baseball and bonding over Pokémon with his daughters and grandchildren.
He was so proud of each of them for all of life's accomplishments.
One of his greatest pleasures was his music and his deep love for all genres and artists, especially Old School and Oldies. His iPod never left his side, and there was never a family party or Bass Lake vacation without him there to play everyone's favorite tunes.
His life was filled with love and devotion to his family. He was their protection, their provider, and their rock.
Charles is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lisa Annette Munoz; his daughters, Charisa Rose Munoz and Marisa Leann Munoz; his sons-in-law, Eli Ballesteros and Justin Burboa; and his beloved grandchildren, Adam Robledo, Jasmine Burboa, Scarlett Ballesteros, Mia Herrera, JJ Burboa, Delilah Ballesteros, and Daisy Burboa.
He is also survived by his sister, Christine Stafford; his brother, Vincent Munoz; his father- and mother-in-law, Alex and Tillie Magdaleno; his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Berta Magdaleno, Arnold and Della Magdaleno, Annette and Robert Lopez, Sandra and Alan Aylard, and Stephanie Duran Lesly; his aunts and uncles; and his godsons, Frank Sotelo Jr. and Dominik Aylard, both of whom held a special place in his heart. He leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and colleagues.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Lorraine Munoz; his youngest daughter, Sarah Angela Herrera, and her husband, Mark Herrera; his granddaughter, Reina Rose Ballesteros; and his sisters-in-law, Arlene Gonzalez and Darla Magdaleno.
Existence itself is a miracle, too extraordinary for death to be the final chapter. Charles has simply moved on to a place beyond what our eyes can see. His soul is alive and infinite. He will continue to live on within each of us who knew and loved him. May his memory keep him alive within our hearts until we are together again.
