Charles "Chuck" Nuhlicek, 80, Kewaunee, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born in Green Bay on June 15, 1945, to Dorathy Nuhlicek. Chuck married Mary Stodola on June 14, 1969, at St. Mary's Church in Luxemburg.
After high school, Chuck worked at Hamachek Machine Company. In 1969, at the age of 24, and with Mary by his side, he started Nuhlicek's Shell. Chuck was still helping his son Jamie with the business up until the time of his illness. He took pride in his work as a mechanic and was known as someone you could trust to work on your vehicle. He was a member of the Kewaunee Fire department for more than 20 years.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Tina Behnke, Freedom, Tara (Chris) Wotachek, Tisch Mills, James (Michelle) Nuhlicek, Kewaunee; grandchildren, Jaden and Justin Behnke, Hailey and Colin Wotachek, Charles "Charlie" and Claire Nuhlicek; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dick (Sue) Stodola, Ted (Anita) Stodola, Kay (Kerry) Kozlowski, Lynn (Rick) Vandervest, Ann Kinnard (friend Jim), and Steve Stodola; further survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Jason Behnke; and brother-in-law, Dan Kinnard.
Visitation will take place Friday, November 14, 2025, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services - Kewaunee. Prayer service will follow at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 9:00 am - 11:00 am at Holy Rosary Church. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am with Fr. George Daniel officiating. Entombment at Holy Rosary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be started in Chuck's name.
