Edward Drouse, 57, Kewaunee, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025. He was born in Scranton, PA on January 23, 1968, to the late Edward J. Drouse and Wanda (Major) Bachhuber. Ed married Heather Ihlenfeldt on May 28, 2012.
Ed proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps as a combat engineer from 1987-1995. He was a pistol expert and an expert rifleman for six years running. He owned and operated SPP (Service Papers Plus) from 2000-2018. He was currently employed as a mechanic at Northbrook Country Club in Luxemburg. Ed enjoyed the outdoors. He played the guitar and drums, and he loved to be around his family making memories. Whether it was helping with homework, going fishing, hunting, throwing a football, riding anything with an engine, telling stories and jokes, showing card tricks and all sorts of stuff. Although he didn’t enjoy it when things broke, he loved fixing things. Always learning something, always trying to share what he learned.
Ed is survived by his wife, Heather; his children Aaron (Andrea) Drouse, Cassandra (Adam) LaPlant, Jonathan Drouse, Abigail Drouse, Madilyne Drouse, and Nico Castro; grandchildren Ayva, Landyn, Alayna, and Raedyn Drouse, Sophia, Scarlett, Baylee, and Ellisyn LaPlant; his siblings, twin brother James Drouse, GA, Thomas Kienast, MI, Dayna Capwell, Scranton, PA, and Jason (Margaret) Drouse, Avoca, PA; father-in-law and mother-in-law Roger and Jane Ihlenfeldt; further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter, Tiffany Merrie Drouse.
God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So, he put His arms around you and whispered, "Come with Me." With tearful eyes we watched you suffer and saw you fade away; Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.
Per Eddie’s request there will be a family celebration of life at a later date. Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the Drouse family. Online condolences can be shared at KinnardFCS.com.
