I'm here to share the life and legacy of a remarkable individual, Charles Paul Parks Sr., who passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025, in Fontana. Born on June 14, 1938, in the heart of New Mexico, Charles was a beacon of kindness, intelligence, and generosity throughout his 87 years.

Charles was the cherished patriarch of a large and loving family, surrounded by his 13 brothers and sisters, who grew up sharing an unbreakable bond. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Wilma Vivian Perez, and a guiding light to his late children, Twyla Ann and Charles Paul Parks II. His beloved wife, Patricia Ann Parks, predeceased him, leaving a legacy of love that continued to inspire Charles every day.

Known for his kind nature, Charles was the heart and soul of every gathering. His laughter was infectious, and his ability to listen and offer wise counsel made him a confidant to many. His intelligence shone brightly in both his personal and professional life, solving problems with a grace that seemed effortless. Charles's generosity extended beyond his family, touching the lives of those in his community through his selfless acts and his unwavering support.

An avid storyteller, Charles regaled his family and friends with tales of his youth in New Mexico, painting vivid pictures of a life filled with adventure and close-knit family ties. His stories will be remembered and retold, keeping the spirit of his experiences alive for generations to come.

Charles's professional life was marked by the same excellence that characterized his personal endeavors. He was willing to share his knowledge and lend a helping hand. His retirement years were spent pursuing hobbies that brought him joy, including gardening, where he found peace and solace in the beauty of nature.

As we say goodbye to Charles Paul Parks Sr., we celebrate a life well-lived, a man who made an impact on all who knew him. His legacy will continue to flourish in the hearts of his family and in the countless lives he touched with his kindness. Though he may have left this world, his memory will remain a guiding star for those who were fortunate enough to have felt the warmth of his presence.

Charles's life reminds us of the beauty of family, the value of wisdom, and the power of giving. He will be deeply missed, but the stories of his compassion, intellect, and generosity will continue to inspire us all. Rest in peace, Charles, and thank you for the light you brought into this world.
