ALEXANDRIA, IN – Charles S. "Charlie" Patz, 73, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
He was born on March 18, 1951, in Anderson to Martin and Virginia (Pike) Patz and was a lifetime resident of Alexandria. Charlie was a graduate of Alexandria-Monroe High School-Class of 1969 and was a member of the Senior Ensemble. He retired in 2003 from Guide-Lamp formerly of Anderson. Charlie was a member of the Alexandria Eagles-#1771. He was a fan of NASCAR. Charlie will be fondly remembered as having a laid-back personality, easy going and dry sense of humor. We smile fondly when we think of these things.
Survivors:
Brother-Ronald (Kathy) Vestal of Auburn, California
Nieces-Katrina (Casey) Brown of Auburn, California, Cheri (David) Jones of Louisville, Kentucky
Nephews- Gary (Cindy) Vestal of Marsing, Idaho, Teri Vestal of Casa Grande, Texas
Several great nieces, great nephews and several cousins
Also, several classmates and community friends who will miss Charlie including his friends since childhood Bub Richardson and Mike Owens
He was preceded in death by his mother in 1998, his father in 2007, brother Gary Vestal in 2006, Uncles-Eugene Patz and Hubert Patz, Aunts-Carolyn Kimmel and Elizabeth Anderson
Cremation has taken place. He will be interred with his parents in Park View Cemetery. A public grave side service will be announced in the near future.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Owens Funeral Home in Alexandria.
