Charles "Chuck" Jay Roberson, 78, passed away on September 11, 2025 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Chicago Heights, IL on October 1, 1946 to James Riley Roberson and Florence May (Helme) Roberson. His parents preceded him in death.
Chuck graduated from Lincoln Way High School in 1964, Juliet Junior College in 1967 and Ball State University in 1969.
He married the love of his life Sandra Kay (Hash) Roberson on December 1, 1968 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Indianapolis. She passed away on December 13, 2021.
Chuck retired from Estep Company where he was an IT specialist in the food industry. He had managed Burger Chef and then Hardees in Hartford City for 30 years. He enjoyed raising farm animals and there were always plenty of chickens, geese, ducks and sheep running around his place.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Corby Jaye Roberson (wife, Becky Kaehr) of Muncie; son, Adam Charles Roberson of Muncie; sister, Jonelle (husband, Tony) Shiner of Manhattan, IL; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 2 PM, Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St., Hartford City with Rev. Tim Wallace officiating.
Burial will follow at Hartford City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12 PM-2 PM, Thursday, September18, 2025 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Blackford County Animal Shelter, 2520 N 200 E
