Janet Biltz Obituary Janet Biltz of
Warsaw, Indiana passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, May 19, 2025, at the age of 89.
She was born on December 2, 1935, in Marion, Indiana to Opal (Williamson) Achor and Ted W. Achor. Janet was a 1953 graduate of Marion High School in Marion, Indiana. She went on to study art for one year at Ball State University.
Janet met a young man by the name of Ray Biltz at the "Shack" at Barbee Lake, and that encounter lasted a lifetime. They were married on November 18, 1962, and they shared the next 63 years together celebrating anniversaries, birthdays, holidays and simply being together. During that time, they never had one argument.
They moved to the area in 1962 and called Warsaw home. Janet loved spending time with her sister, sharing many lunches over the years, and every Friday they would spend time together. She loved finding a good deal at garage sales, and her family said that Janet could squeeze a buffalo nickel until it pooped! Throughout her life she was known for her eclectic taste in music, spent hours gardening, and enjoyed watching the birds and butterflies. Janet was generous with her time, very charitable and gave to many organizations that were near and dear to her heart.
Janet lived a wonderful life and will forever be loved and cherished in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ray Biltz (
Warsaw, IN); two sons, Bob (Angie) Wright (Syracuse, IN); Alan (Darlene Bender) Biltz (
Warsaw, IN). Also surviving are three grandchildren, Kindra (Jordan) Dawes (Ft. Wayne, IN); Whitney Wright (Ft. Wayne, IN); Weston Wright (VA); two great grandchildren, Addison and Tatum Dawes (Ft. Wayne, IN); and her sister, Judy (John) Agee (
Warsaw, IN). She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Ronald and Jack Achor.
