Charles Herbert Robinson, 94 of Independence, MO passed away Friday, January 10, 2025 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 16, 2025 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial with full military honors will be in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m., until service time at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to Samaritan's Purse. Charles was born June 12, 1930 in Independence, MO to Simpson Herbert and Ruby Bell (Petentler) Robinson and has been a lifelong area resident. He was a barber for many years until he retired, most recently he owned and operated Gaslight Barber Shop. He was an avid KC Chiefs fan who enjoyed hunting, fishing, yardwork and most of all traveling and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a man of faith and had a strong belief in the Lord. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict from 1952-54. He was married to Tressie J. (Wells) on June 29, 1954; she survives him of the home. Other survivors include; a daughter, Michelle Robinson-Case and husband Ernie Case of Independence, MO; a son, Charles Todd Robinson and wife Connie of Independence, MO; a brother, Guy Petentler Robinson of Butler, MO; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Martha Beatty and a brother, S. Lee Robinson.
