Charles Edward Robinson, of Dyer, Tennessee passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on July 30, 2025.
Charles, a native of Dyer, was the son of Wilson and Malidean Robinson. In 1956, Charles married his high school sweetheart Patty Robinson and lived out their love story for over 69 years together. A true entrepreneur, Charles started, owned and operated the Trenton Industrial Laundry in 1971 and it is still thriving today. He had a warm and inviting presence that drew people in and made them feel truly connected. Charles was a community builder who excelled at loving and taking care of his family and friends. To remember Charles is to smile and enjoy sweet memories made in his company.
Charles was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Amy Carol; and his cherished wife, Patty Robinson.
He will be missed dearly by his sons, Steve (Kim) Robinson of Dyer, TN and Mike Robinson of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Rebekah (Burt) Caraway of Greenville, MS; Adam (Christa) Robinson of South Asia; Lauren (Danny) Grimm of Europe; Matthew Robinson of Wilmington, NC; Emilee (Jared) Summers of Nashville; Anna Rachael Robinson of Memphis; and Sarah Robinson of Dyer; and six great grandchildren, Coers Caraway, Pierce Caraway, Sadie Grimm, Callie Robinson, Nolan Grimm and Nora Robinson.
Visitation with family and friends will be held, Friday, August 1, 2025, in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home beginning at 5PM until 8PM. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 10AM in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
