Charles Orman Rose, age 76, of Waverly, TN, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 27, 1949, to his late parents Herbert and Frances Rose in Barton, New York.
A proud Vietnam Navy veteran, Charles served his country aboard the USS Nimble, where he demonstrated not just bravery, but also an unwavering commitment to those around him. His experiences during the war shaped him into the man he became—resilient and deeply compassionate.
For 35 years, Charles was a business owner and home builder of Rose Construction, where his craftsmanship and dedication were manifest in every project he undertook. His attention to detail and passion for building not only homes but also relationships within the community were hallmarks of his long and successful career. He found immense joy in creating spaces for families to build their own memories, a true testament to his values of family and togetherness.
Outside of work, Charles cherished spending time with his family and grandchildren. Family gatherings were filled with laughter and warmth, as he regaled his loved ones with stories and shared his passion for life. He was especially fond of fishing and hunting, activities that brought him not only peace, but also precious moments spent under the open sky with those dear to him. His love for cattle farming reflected his deep connection to nature and the simple joys of rural life.
Charles Orman Rose touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed. His legacy of love for family, dedication to his craft, and strong sense of community will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
