Edna Rose Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Nassau Funeral Home - Callahan on Feb. 18, 2026.
Rose - Edna Mae Rose, age 90, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, in Waycross, Georgia. Born on June 18, 1935, in Fayetteville, West Virginia, Edna lived a long and meaningful life rooted in faith, family, and love. Edna was the beloved wife of the late Oliver Rose and the cherished daughter of Howard and Helen Jones. Her deep connection to her Baptist faith guided her throughout her life and brought her comfort and strength. Edna found joy in reading her Bible daily and nurturing a close relationship with the Lord. Throughout her life, Edna found happiness in simple pleasures. She had a passion for gardening, tending to flowers and plants with care, and she delighted in traveling whenever she could. Edna's unwavering faith and enduring love for those around her leave behind a legacy of love and devotion. May her memory bring comfort to all who were blessed to know her. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Helen Jones; her daughter, Janet Jones; and grandchildren, David Belkowski and Danielle Taillefer.

A devoted mother, Edna is lovingly remembered by her children, Alice (John), Patricia, Michael (Joan), and son in law, Allen. She was a proud grandmother to Debbie (Tim), John, Jr., Steven (Sara), Chris (Casey), and Jennifer (JC); a great-grandmother to Shelby (Corey), Brittany, Katlynn, Madison, Gabrielle, Dayton, Steven, III, Holton, Adam, and Bella; and a great-great-grandmother to Aiden, Avery, and Aubreigh. She is also survived by her brother, Howard Jones, and sister, Rosie Kelly. Her family was the heart of her world and she loved them deeply.

The tribute above was prepared by Edna's loving family.

A Celebration of Edna's Life will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home with Chaplain Mike Mekara officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
