Charles Lee Sanders, 74, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Sunday, November 3rd, 2024.
Charles was born July 29, 1950 in Memphis, Tennessee to James and Mary (Johnson) Sanders.
Charles loved to spend time with his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, going to the movies, jazz music, going to sporting events and eating great food. He was a God fearing man that attended Union Grove Baptist Church. He was a Radio Operator in the U.S. Navy. After the navy, he eventually ended up working for the government at DSCC (Defense Supply Center Columbus) until he retired. He also held a Masters Degree in business at Central Michigan. Charles was a great man, father, brother, uncle, cousin and all the above!
Charles will be deeply missed by his wife Carolyn Jane Sanders of 51 years

Charles was preceded in death by his parents James Sr. and Mary Sanders; Niece, Tamara Sanders; Sisters, Carey and Shirley Sanders
Visitation will be Monday, November 11th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus. Funeral services TBD at M. J. Edwards - Whitehaven Funeral Chapel. Clergy Dr. Dwayne E. Brown. Burial will be at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, where military rites will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sanders Family.
