Charles H. Shamblin

Charles Howard Shamblin Charles Howard Shamblin 48, of Charleston passed away August 13, 2012 at CAMC Memorial Division. He was retired from the Army National Guard and loved serving his country. He attended Mount Calvary Baptist Church, was a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and an avid Bowler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmer Ray and Violet Gertrude Shamblin and sister, Effie Mae Sutherland. Survivors include his wife, Julie Shamblin of Charleston; children, Katherine Elizabeth Shamblin of Colorado and Christian Alan Cates of Charleston; brothers, Oral Wayne Shamblin of South Charleston and Frank Shamblin of Charleston. Funeral Services will be 12 noon Monday August 20, 2012 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Chaplain Bruce Reed officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial with Military Graveside Honors will be in the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar, WV.
