Carolyn, Chuck, and family,
Charlie was a great guy, and he was certainly great to me. I will always appreciate the Sims family for welcoming me, sharing with me, and caring for me as I was growing up. There are so many good memories. His great laugh and the funny things he would say. He made life a lot of fun. Charlie was always so kind to us kids. He took us to practice and to games in that old Ford truck, and was there whenever we were doing something. I was thinking today that I'll forever be known as Blade among my friends because of what Charlie said after a football game. I'm really going to miss him, and I extremely grateful he was such a big part of my life when I was a teenager. I couldn't of had a nicer or better influence.
I know you will miss him. Alisa and I do as well. But I am very thankful for all the great memories. God bless Charlie and God bless your family.

Charles,
You were loved by everyone who knew you and will be sorely missed by all. I never knew you to have an unkind word or thought for anyone and in contrast no one had one for you either. RIP, until we meet again in heaven.
