Charles Smith Obituary
Mr. Smith passed away on December 28, 2025, in Tyler.
Charles Everett Smith was born on January 20, 1933, in Canton, Texas, to Charlie and Grace (Shelton) Smith. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, earning numerous accolades throughout his career. Charles found great joy in fishing, camping, and traveling with the love of his life, Reba. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Reba Merle Smith; and his brother, William Thomas Smith.
Survivors include his children, Daphne Miller and Deborah Eklund and husband Mike; his grandchildren, Amber Eklund Wilks, Aaron Eklund, Tiffany Miller, and Travis Miller; and his great-grandchildren, Audrey Wilks and Gabrielle Wilks.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, from 1-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a veteran's organization of choice.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
