Charles Randal Swink, beloved father, Grampy, brother, and friend, passed away on February 2, 2025, at the age of 77. Born in Marmaduke, Arkansas, on October 30, 1947, Charles lived a life full of dedication, curiosity, and love.
He proudly served in the Army for 20 years, a commitment that shaped his character and filled him with immense pride. After retiring from the military, he worked in various fields including earning his BA in Computer Science. He later retired from the VA Hospital, where he continued his life's work of service to others.
A natural tinkerer, Charles found joy in working on toys and fixing things-his curiosity never faded. He was also an avid fan of the Oklahoma Sooners and the OKC Thunder, always cheering them on with passion.
Above all, Charles cherished his family. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Brenda, his children, Randal Swink (Dawn), John Swink (Samantha), Christopher Swink (Helen), and Joyce Collins; his brothers, Earl Swink (Arlene) and Mark Swink (Cindy); his grandchildren, Justin, Samuel, Katrina, Alexandria, Joshua, Trinity, Kiley, Seán, and Jordan; and his great-grandchildren, Logan Tobias, Charlie, and Jack.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frances Louise and Charles Swink.
Charles leaves behind a legacy of service, love, and curiosity. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
