Charles Terry Stine, 82, Nixa, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024, surrounded by family.


Terry was born June 13, 1941, to Charles and Arva Stine, in Springfield, Missouri. He grew up on his family’s dairy farm in Ozark and graduated from Ozark High School in 1959. He then joined the National Guard and was a member of the National Guard Band, playing tuba. He attended SMS before going into full time farming.


On June 5, 1960, he married Bonnie Ruth, and they were married for over 63 years.


Terry was a hard working dairy farmer, dedicated son, husband, father, and grandfather. He was a friend to all and a man of many talents. He was a skilled athlete, a talented musician and songwriter, and a keeper of family history. In his retirement he kept very busy with many hobbies, projects, and spent many years managing the Richwood Cemetery in Nixa.


Terry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tom Stine II.


He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bonnie Stine, daughter Shannon Stine and spouse Natalie Wlodarczyk, Rogersville; son Michael Stine and spouse Tammy Stine, Nixa; grandchildren John Stine and Emily Stine, Nixa; nephew Tom Stine III, niece Paula Kramer, and a host of family and friends.


A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow at Richwood Cemetery, Nixa.  Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2024 immediately before the funeral at the funeral home.
